Java
Java is a powerful
Maaari
itong maging language of choice sa pag-implement ng Internet-based o Internet
based applications as well as software for devices that communicate over
networks.
Nagcoconsist ang Java ng
several parts: an environment, the
language, the Java Applications Programming Interface (API), and various class
libraries. Normally, java programs have five phases to be executed. ito ang
edit, compile, load, verify and execute.
Experienced programmers
sometimes take pride in being able to create some weird, contorted, convoluted
usage of a language. This is a poor programming practice. It makes programs
more difficult to read, more likely to behave strangely, mas mahirap din itong
itest at idebug, and more difficult to adapt to changing requirements. Also
maaaring magrun ang any program written in Java sa iba’t ibang unit o computer.
The most problem with the early versions of Java is that the programs execute
interpretively on the client’s machine. Iniinterpret nito ng isa-isa line by
line compared to fully compiled code machine.
Here is a simple program
for printing a line of text.
public class Welcome1
{
public static void
main( String args[] )
{
System.out.println(“Welcome to Java Programming!”);
}
}
Tapos
ito yung magiging output: Welcome
to Java Programming!
Sa pagcocompile ng isang
Java program, we open a command window, baguhin ang directory kung saan
nakastore ang program tapos itype ang java Welcome1.java. Kung ang iyong program ay hindi
nagco-contain ng any syntax error, the preceding command creates a new file na
tinatawag na Welcome1.class containing the Java byte
First,
nagco-consist ng atleast one class definition that is defined by the
programmer.
name (Welcome1). Keywords are always
spelled with all lowercase letters.
letters for an identifier ay maituturing na syntax error. You should always
begin a class name with a capital first letter. When reading Java program,
These normally
represent Java classes. Avoid using identifiers containing dollar sign ($) as
these are often used by the compiler to create identifier names.
public static void main( String args[] ) ---
ito ay part ng every Java application. Automatically java applications begin
executing at main.
isang program method. The left brace begins the body of the method definition
then the right brace must end the method definition’s body.
System.out.println(“Welcome to Java Programming!”); ---
ito naman ang nag-iinitiate sa computer to print the string of characters contained between the double quotation marks. Maaari
din tawaging character string, a message or a string literal ang string.
System.out is known as the standard output object. It
allows Java applications to display strings and other types of information in
the command window from which the Java application is executed.
System.out.println --- its argument in the
parenthesis and the semicolon is called a statement. Kailangang ang every
statement must end with a semicolon o ang tinatawag na statement terminator.
Kapag naexecute na ito, it now displays the message (Welcome to Java Programming!) in the command window.

What is it like being a 3rd year Com Sci student?
Having a life
full of surprises like mine is like trying to spend your life in a certain
aspiration of desires to manage what I really feel and love on doing in my
everyday living. Perhaps what I really mean is that I luck of inspiration,
because before I really don’t want to go to school or study in a university, I couldn’t
see myself wearing a uniform, taking showers everyday early in the morning and
spending half of my day in school studying. But time comes and I learned to
create a new life and start things all over again in a more passionate way I could
ever do in the life I have now and that’s by taking Bachelor in Science in Computer
Science.
At the start I never
foresee what things I could expect in this course but slowly I cope up with
everything this course offers me. Through the effect of stress and thinking “how
could I ever pass every single unit and subjects I have” all out the semesters that
I had encountered. But never the less I surpassed all of if through the help of
my classmate syempre tropa eh. Anyway i accomplished to be strong untill now and
since the start of the first semester on the third year I manage to understand
how a pressure and stress can affect my mined.
There are times I
wanted to withdraw my sword and surrender the battle amongs those people in
front of me. I know that their just doing their job on teaching us but the fact
that the pressure they give us make me loose my mined, in instance I could tell
myself na “uy I should work nalang kaya and stop my studying kase dyahe hirap
ng mag-aral sobrang stress na ko” but I couldn’t do that because I told myself
na may mga umaasa sa akin sa family ko and with that I hinder my insperation
and serve that as a protocol to take my home to the server of the school.
Parang sinabi ko na ang life ko for now is iikot talaga sa school at these
would be my 127.0.0.1, kahit na nag-mumukang kawawa ako compare sa other classmates
ko kase parang I am the weakst of them all pag-dating sa logical aspects but on
These third year
naman second semester na, although mejo naging loose na ang time and we got
more minutes to relax it doesn't mean to say na makakapag-relax talaga kami. It
is always said na if you got more time to spare you got to spare your time
working hard on your studies lalo na ngayon gawaan na ng sytem and software
para sa thesis. Looking at this na two pairs lang ang kailangan for creating
the thesis naku I hard to work quadrople time para makapag-handa and makapag
isip ng tama at the pick of this university life we are having na talaga. Walang
arte at walang pag-sasawalang bahala for everything we need to work with kaya
sana naman mabawasan yung pressure sakin. I should take risk and change my
attitude to everyone para they would not say na I don’t deserve being with them
and together with them all I got and I believe in is at stake in here, my life
would be a waste if I fall behind them kase hirap mag-isa and yung umaasa sa akin
na mother ko na she wanted me to finish my course is talagang dapat kong I give
sa kanya so all of everything bad or good, worst or better kailangan ko
talagang I take at I handle.

mother and family na umaasa sa akin and besides for what pa if madadapa lang
ako sa huli tapos I would not get up para I continue to syempre tuloy tuloy

goes on for me now.

What is the difference between Info Tech, Com Sci and Info Sys courses?
Today there are so many ways for students to create their own path on what they would wanted to become for their own future. Never the less this future that I mentioned have certain effect to the idea of all teenagers and people who wants to learn, the future of computer technology and the system that inhabits every single line of data that they will encounter as part of this technological evolution. Frankly some courses have different forte or ways and speciallizations, and for some common degree courses offered to the students are Information Technology, Computer Science and Information System degrees although they have the similarities of not having liscence like the nursing degrees have, or engineering courses offers but likewise the courses I mentioned still have certificates that could grant them ensurance for future work and the only good thing on bachelors degree we have is that we don’t have to go through board exams, just to have liscence.
The struggle of knowing
what different structure of the program the Information Technology has from
Computer Science and Information System took place on my mined. Kaya syempre
for a Computer Science student like me, i should make some pointers kung paano
ko bibigyan ng specifications ang bawat courses na close sa course ko but not quite
similar to each other.
For Information
Technology the requirements that you will inhabit dito are ang pag-tackle ng
management and information theory. Sa management you will study all business
and organizational activities using available resources efficiently and
effectively at syempre management comprises planning, organizing, staffing, leading or directing, and controlling an organization .
Information technology can be expected to concentrate on the business and communicating applications of computing, although there is more emphasis on these two areas
in the e-commerce , e-business and business information technology
undergraduate courses. At the associate’s degree level, typical courses include
project-based information systems, Website database implementation,
introduction to DHTML and Java Script, as well a mathematics based curriculum. So
they are more on application to businesses kaya ang approach nila sa students
is parang madali for them to study by that course and ang alam ng karamihan eh
mas madaming offerings ang makukuha nila after graduating with this course.
In Computer Science
we study more on algorithms, mathematical calculations and logic structures of
programming for system based applications and also for the software development.
Dito we tackle web development where it is coded by the form of javascript on
html or php based codes. Pero Com Sci’s are logically analysis everything from
automata to the creation of system based software. Pumapasok rin dito ang
designing of system syempre may mga units na the same ang Info Tech from Com
Sci. As much as I know we dig deeper kesa sa Info Tech, I mean the thing that
seperates us from them is yung skeletal structure bago pumasok sa isang certain
system. More broad but we take the simplest analytical structure on every thing
that we do, syempre we take the complex problem but never the less we take it
to the shortest way as we can to solve it. Taking this course syempre pag-aralan
pa rin ang databases, computer architecture and operating systems. Yung
expansion ng artificial inteligece or any expert systems is pwede naming I handle
uhm although mas limited ang offerings sa Com Sci we still have the ability to
expand more and create more answers to the problems we also create. If theres
no problem we will create the problem para masaya.
For Computer
Information System Degree naman is a professionally orientated course with a
strong practical focus. Para sa Info Sys you will develop real systems,
products and services in studios specially design for ‘learning by doing’ ito
yung more on sa pag-aapply ng pratical parang hands-on baga. The course
provides the skills and knowledge to solve information problems and manage
information-related opportunities in business, education and society, just like
the other two courses I mentioned the in this course you are introduced to the
basic concepts in information management and information systems, project
management, database and computer programming. Sa Info Sys they're also relied
upon to analyze existing systems and discover new ways to optimize their
performance.
Kaya for the closure
lang it is more likely na maraming pagkakaparehas ang Info Tech, Com Sci and
Info Sys pero at the same time they wouldn’t be the same parin. I say na parang
Earth ang three mentioned courses, the Inner Core would be the Computer Science,
the outer core is the Information Technology and the Mantle would be the
Information System and the crust would be shared equally by the three degrees.
Yan yung simplest way para I paliwanag ko in my own way ang form ng mga courses.

How does the Search engine of GOOGLE works?
Google runs on a distributed network of thousands of low-cost
computers and can therefore carry out fast parallel processing. This parallel
processing has a method of computation in which many calculations can be
performed simultaneously, significantly speeding up data processing. Pero the
important knowledge we should know about how the google search engine works is
yung algorithm na they used for its system which is called “Pagerank
Algorithm”, this is the software behind the google search technology that
conducts a series of simultaneous calculations na nag re-require lang ng halos
a fraction of a second for the process nito. The traditional search engines is
nag re-rely lamang on how often a word appears on a web page. Trough the use of
the Pagerank algorithm, it examine the entire link structure of the web and
determines which pages are most important. It then conducts hypertext-matching
analysis to determine which pages are relevant to the specific search being
conducted. By combining overall importance and query-specific relevance, it
ables to put the most relevant and reliable results first(The Google search Engine and Google Graphic).
The factual information about Pagerank algorithm is that it
helps rank web pages that match a given search string. The PageRank algorithm
instead analyzes human-generated links assuming that web pages linked from many important pages are
themselves likely to be important. The algorithm computes a recursive score for pages, based on the weighted sum of the PageRanks of
the pages linking to them. PageRank is thought to correlate well with human concepts of importance. A Web page's PageRank depends
on a few factors; one is the frequency
and location of keywords within the Web page which the keyword only
appears once within the body of a page, it will receive a low score for that
keyword. The second is how long the Web page has existed, that determines people
create new Web pages every day, and not all of them stick around for long.
Google places more value on pages with an established history. The last would
be the number of other Web pages that
link to the page in question which google looks at how many Web
pages link to a particular site to determine its relevance(CyberAge Books 2001).
The process of google search engine has three distinct parts,
namely the googlebot it is a web crawler that finds and fetches web pages, the
second is the indexer that sorts every word on every page and stores the
resulting index of words in a huge database. The last is the query processor,
which compares your search query to the index and recommends the documents that
it considers most relevant(CyberAge Books 2001).
Googlebot,
Google’s Web Crawler
Googlebot
is Google’s web crawling robot, which finds and retrieves pages on the web and
hands them off to the Google indexer. It’s easy to imagine Googlebot as a
little spider scurrying across the strands of cyberspace, but in reality
Googlebot doesn’t traverse the web at all. It functions much like your web
browser, by sending a request to a web server for a web page, downloading the
entire page, then handing it off to Google’s indexer. Googlebot consists of
many computers requesting and fetching pages much more quickly than you can
with your web browser. In fact, Googlebot can request thousands of different
pages simultaneously. To avoid overwhelming web servers, or crowding out
requests from human users, Googlebot deliberately makes requests of each
individual web server more slowly than it’s capable of doing. Googlebot finds
pages in two ways: through an add URL form and through finding links by
crawling the web(Copyright © 2003 Google Inc.).
When
Googlebot fetches a page and yung lahat ng links appearing on it and adds them
to a queue for subsequent crawling. The googlebot tends to encounter little
spam because most web authors link only to what they believe are high-quality
pages. By harvesting links from every page it encounters, Googlebot can quickly
build a list of links that can cover broad reaches of the web. This technique,
known as deep crawling, also allows Googlebot to probe deep within individual
sites. Because of their massive scale, deep crawls can reach almost every page
in the web. Because the web is vast, this can take some time, so some pages may
be crawled only once a month. Although its function is simple, Googlebot must
be programmed to handle several challenges. First, since Googlebot sends out
simultaneous requests for thousands of pages, the queue of “visit
soon” URLs must be constantly examined and compared with URLs already in
Google’s index. Duplicates in the queue must be eliminated to prevent Googlebot
from fetching the same page again. Googlebot must determine how often to
revisit a page. On the one hand, it’s a waste of resources to re-index an
unchanged page. On the other hand, Google wants to re-index changed pages to
deliver up-to-date results (Copyright © 2003 Google Inc.).
Google’s Indexer
The
Googlebot gives the indexer the full text of the pages it finds. These
pages are stored in Google’s index database. This index is sorted
alphabetically by search term, with each index entry storing a list of
documents in which the term appears and the location within the text where it
occurs. This data structure allows rapid access to documents that contain user
query terms. To improve search performance, Google ignores common words called stop words such as the, is, on,
or, of, how, why,
as well as certain single digits and single letters. Stop words are so common
that they do little to narrow a search, and therefore they can safely be
discarded. The indexer also ignores some punctuation and multiple spaces, as
well as converting all letters to lowercase, to improve Google’s performance (Copyright © 2003 Google Inc.).
Google’s Query
Processor
The query processor
has several parts, including the user interface which is the search box, then
the engine that evaluates queries and matches them to
relevant documents, at yung results formatter. PageRank is Google’s system for ranking web pages. A page with a
higher PageRank is search first and ito yung more important and is more likely
to be listed above a page with a lower PageRank. Google considers over a
hundred factors in computing a PageRank and determining kung anong documents
are most relevant to a query, including the popularity of the page, the
position and size of the search terms within the page, and the proximity of the
search terms to one another on the page. Google also applies machine-learning
techniques to improve its performance automatically by learning relationships
and associations within the stored data. For example, the spelling-correcting system uses such techniques to figure
out likely alternative spellings. Google closely guards the formulas it uses to
calculate relevance; they’re tweaked to improve quality and performance, and to
outwit the latest devious techniques used by spammers. Indexing the full text
of the web allows Google to go beyond simply matching single search terms.
Google gives more priority to pages that have search terms near each other and
in the same order as the query. Google can also match multi-word phrases and
sentences. Since Google indexes HTML code in addition to the text on the page,
users can restrict searches on the basis of where query words appear, in the
title, in the URL, in the body, and in links to the page, options offered by Google’s Advanced Search Form and Using Search Operators “Advanced
Operators” (Copyright © 2003 Google Inc.).
And
lahat ng ito is done in less than a second, 300 million times a day generating
over $20 billion a year for google so they earn many money talaga.

So whenever I heard this song, nagiging emotional ako.
